Blue House - Giclee Prints
“Blue House” is Tom Ward’s third painting in the winter landscapes. A wide sweep of snow rolls forward in soft, layered strokes, catching pale blues and creamy whites the way winter light gathers in drifts. Slender trees stand like quiet sentries, their trunks and branches sketched in warm earth tones against a veil of lavender-gray air.
Off to the right, a small blue house anchors the composition—simple, steady, and quietly alive—its cool color echoing the shadows in the snow. Loose, impressionistic brushwork keeps everything breathing: edges blur, sky and treeline dissolve, and the landscape becomes less a literal place than a remembered feeling—the kind of winter you carry with you.
Inspired by the Hudson Valley where the Wards lived at the time, Blue House is both a farewell to the series and a gentle invitation: step into the stillness, and let the quiet do what it always does—restore you.
Each Giclee print is hand-signed and dated by Tom Ward — a genuine mark of the artist at this moment in his life. As ALS gradually limits his physical strength, these signatures carry meaning beyond authentication. They reflect persistence and devotion to craft.
Edition details:
50 signed and numbered prints per size
Individually numbered in order received (1/50, 2/50, etc.)
Printed on 100% cotton, acid-free Velvet Fine Art Paper
